Register Online Here

Ride with Rich is a leisurely-paced bike ride to benefit Healthy Adams Bicycle/Pedestrian, Inc.(HABPI). State Senator Rich Alloway will be the lead rider for this event. The ride is 25 miles long and passes through Gettysburg National Military Park and over the rolling back roads of southern Adams County. There will be one rest stop with snacks, drinks and facilities at about the half way point. A post-ride party with food is provided free to all riders. Cue sheets, ride marshals, and a SAG wagon will be provided to assist riders.

The ride starts and ends at the Gettysburg Rec Park. Please use the Winebrenner parking lot off of Howard Avenue. The ride will leave at 9 am. Check-in begins at 8 am.  A map and cue sheet can be seen HERE

HABPI’s purpose is to promote health and public recreational opportunities and alternate transportation through safe bicycling and pedestrian activities, both on road and off. Activities include acquiring, developing and maintaining trails and routes. We are currently working with others to help complete the Grand History Trail, a 250 mile bicycle/pedestrian trail linking many of the key historic sites in the mid-Atlantic region. Our efforts are focused on identifying and designing a route from Hanover, PA through Gettysburg, PA (to link to the battlefield) and then down to Emmitsburg, MD.

Senator Richard Alloway II was elected to his first term in the Pennsylvania Senate in November 2008. After winning re-election in 2012, he is currently serving his second term representing the 33rd District, which includes all of Adams County and portions of Cumberland, Franklin and York Counties.

Lights Lights Lights

Light, lights, lights!! New lights from Bontrager have just showed up. We have the new insanely tiny Flare R City, Ion 350 R and our best selling rear light, the Flare R. Make every ride safer with the first tail light designed for daylight visibility. Flare R’s balanced optics set off with a powerful CREE LED can be seen from over 2km day or night. 65 Lumens and 270 degrees of visibility help make you the biggest distraction on the road.

In case you missed the first generation of eBikes, let’s back up a sec. The Townie® Go! is a battery-powered, pedal-assist bike that lets you ride like the wind without breaking a sweat. The difference this year? We’ve upgraded to a Bosch frame-mount mid-motor that’s quieter and lets you adjust your cadence based on speed. Those are some fancy words, but the gist is that it handles better with a lower center of gravity, a smoother ride and a wider range of power support.

What has remained the same is that the Townie Go! is an absolute blast to ride. The balloon tires glide over any surface with unlimited traction. Multi-gear functionality lets you control output and battery life. And of course, it looks as awesome as it rides. The combination of Townie’s Flat Foot Technology® with Bosch’s legendary performance is a match made in heaven. Or San Diego, which is pretty close.
