The ride is 25 miles long and passes through Gettysburg National Military Park and over the rolling back roads of southern Adams County. There will be one rest stop with snacks, drinks and facilities at about the half way point. A post-ride party with food is provided free to all riders. Cue sheets, ride marshals, and a SAG wagon will be provided to assist riders.

HABPI’s purpose is to promote health and public recreational opportunities and alternate transportation through safe bicycling and pedestrian activities, both on road and off. Activities include acquiring, developing and maintaining trails and routes. We are currently working with others to help complete the Grand History Trail, a 250 mile bicycle/pedestrian trail linking many of the key historic sites in the mid-Atlantic region. Our efforts are focused on identifying and designing a route from Hanover, PA through Gettysburg, PA (to link to the battlefield) and then down to Emmitsburg, MD.

Senator Richard Alloway II was elected to his first term in the Pennsylvania Senate in November 2008. After winning re-election in 2012, he is currently serving his second term representing the 33rd District, which includes all of Adams County and portions of Cumberland, Franklin and York Counties.
